Майкл Паренти (родился в 1933 году) — американский левый политолог, критик существующей капиталистической и толпоелитарной системы. По причине своих взглядов в США стал дисcидентом. Окончил Йельский университет в 1962 по специальности политологии со степенью Ph.D. Отец левого публициста Кристиана Паренти. Работы переведены по меньшей мере на семнадцать языков.
